(1) The accusers of Daniel and their families thrown in the lions' den. Engraving, 20.2 x 24.8 cm, signed "M. Heemskerck inventor" in upper r. corner, w. address "H. Cock" (Hieronymus Cock, 1518-1570) in lower margin, w. 1-line Latin text below the image. Good impression, trimmed on/ near the plate mark. Mounted on a leaf w. 17th cent. extensive text in pen in the wide margins around the print. Hollstein (Ph. Galle) 102 and Hollstein (Van Heemskerck) 235, first state (of 3). Very dramatic scene, the final print from a series of 10 dep. the history of Daniel, Bel and the dragon. (2) God blessing the three estates commoners, clergy and nobility. Engraving, 20 x 24.8 cm, numb. 1 in lower l. corner, signed "MHeemskerck inve(n)tor" in lower margin, w. 1-line Latin text below the image, mounted at upper corners under passepartout. Good impression on fine paper w. unidentified watermark, w. good/ wide margins on 3 sides, narrow top margin. Smoothed-out central vertical fold. Hollstein (Ph.
