Twelve engravings from a large series of prints dep. the life, passion and resurrection of Christ, all ca. 18 x 22 cm, numb. 40-51 in lower l. margin, by Adriaen Collaert (I) (ca. 1560-1618) (7x), Jan Collaert (II) (1561/66-1628) (3x), Jacques de Bie (Jacob de Bye, 1581-after 1637) (1x) and Jean-Baptist Barbé (1578-1649) (1x), all signed "M. de Vos invent(or)." and w. address of Adriaen Collaert, mounted at upper corners under 6 passepartouts. Very fine impressions w. much contrast, most on paper w. large watermark on the edge in the shape of half a circle and w. good/ narrow margins, print 47 trimmed on the plate mark and w. remains of former mount verso. Impressive series. Hollstein (De Vos) 314-325, 2nd state (of 3/4/5). -and 8 others after the same, incl. prints 1, 3 and 5 from a series of 6 dep. the story of Elisha by Jan Collaert (I) (1525/30-1580) and 3 engravings from a series of 10 dep. the ten commandments by Adriaen Collaert (all in first state (of 2)).
