Berchem, N. (ca. 1621-1683). The set of the sheep

Eight etchings (incl. title "Animalia ad vivum delineata et aquâforti aeri impressa, Studio et arte Nicolas Berchemi"), all aprox. 10 x 11 cm, mounted at upper corners on 1 mount. All more or less foxed, one print w. sm. chip and oblique fold, otherwise a good set w. narrow margins. Hollstein 41-48, final state. With: (2) P. van Laer (1599-1642). Complete series dep. horses. Six numb. etchings, all ca. 8 x 10 cm, the first signed "P.D. Laer fe.", all others monogrammed "P.D.L. fe." (Pieter de Laer) in the plates, 4x mounted at all corners, the mounts themselves an the other 2 prints mounted at upper corners under 1 passepartout. Mediocre but complete set, sold w.a.f. Hollstein 9-14. -and 8 others, all by Berchem.
