Carlos Leppe (1952-2015), a Chilean artist, is regarded as one of the most influential Latin American 'action'/ performance artists. In the 1970s he began using his own body as material, and experimented with different social, aesthetic and gender norms. He was a central figure in the Chilean neo-avant-garde (Escena de Avanzada), alongside artists such as Lotty Rosenfeld, Carlos Altamirano, Juan Castillo, Alfredo Jaar, and the writers Diamela Eltit and Raúl Zurita. Rubbing to outer edges of the covers, else a very good copy. Extremely rare.
