Rare complete set of the first Dutch edition, with all engravings by Abraham and Daniel Veelwaard. The author took part in the British expedition to Java in 1811, he held important positions during the British occupation of the island. Translated by Pieter de Haan Psz., who visited the archipelago himself and published "Schetsen van Java" in 1829.
