[Binding] Four items: (1) Full gilt marbled calf binding,

17th century, both covers with central gilt ornament and gilt border around sides, corner fleurons, gilt and ribbed spine, all edges gilt and gauffered, 12mo.

Spine rubbed/sl. worn, spine head chipped. On: Paradisus Aniamae Christianae (...) studio et opera Iacobi Merlo Horstii. Cologne, 1644, w. engr. title and 7 full-p. engravings; (2) Full dark brown calf binding, early 19th century, richly adorned with silver fittings such as clasps, catches, scallops, fleurons, knobs and edges, all edges gilt and gauffered, sm. 8vo. Joints starting; lacks 2 sm. silver knobs on back cover, some dents in silver along edges. With intriguing blindstamped monogram (?) on upper left corner of front cover (by the binder?). Also with owner's entry on first free endpaper: "Dit boek behoort toe aen d'eersaeme Carolina Cornelis. zr (?) Frans. tot Meirendre, 1803". On: Christelyke onderwyzingen en gebeden (...). Twintigsten druk (Ghent, (1791); (3) "Chemin de Croix" (station of the cross). Leporello with 7 gilt red morocco shaped "leaves", with altogether 14 small photographs (5.4 x 4 cm) of an unknown station of the cross recto/verso, folded measuring 9.7 x 6.5 cm, lockable with leather tie and push button (sm. superficial defects). And an album w. 26 loosely inserted devotional prints/mortuary cards. (total 4)
